Are you affiliated with LSU? Back to Top

No. Just a fan who draws cartoons of LSU sports. I have no formal relationship with LSU. Individuals associated with LSU often use the cartoons in different ways, but I have no affiliation with the university.

Can you send me your toons when you finish them? Back to Top

Sure. Just e-mail me, ask to get on the e-mail list, and I will add you. I send the cartoons to over 800 people. I just send cartoons and related stuff. No jokes. No forwards of inane stuff. There's too much spam out there and I won't contribute to it.

Do you sell any of your work? Back to Top

Yes. I have created the TigerToons Store to offer a few products. I hope to expand the products as time goes by so check back often. Right now I am selling the books I illustrated for Jady Regard. They are Born to be a Tiger and Born to be a Tiger, Too. Check them out at the store. Note: From time to time the store isn't open. That's because I may be on the road and unable to fill orders.

Can I download the cartoons and print them out? Back to Top

Sure. Generally, I would like you to contact me if you want to use the cartoons for various reasons. You can't change the cartoon in anyway however, without my permission. That's a copyright thing.

Can I use some of your work on my website? Back to Top

Yes, you may. If you would like to use some of my artwork on your website just let me know what you would like to do and send me the URL. We'll work out some sort of deal. Most of the time its free to use the artwork.

How can I meet you? Back to Top

Well, I live in Baton Rouge. You can find me in the phone book. I obviously tailgate for football games. There's a link on the "Welcome" page of my site to give you maps and directions to our tailgate. I also frequently attend "Jimmy Ott's Press Box" radio show at the Caterie (Perkins and Acadian Thruway) in Baton Rouge. His program runs from 4 to 6 PM. Come join us and meet other big time LSU fans like the Big Ragoo, Big Ron, Gene, Knucklehead, Carl the Cat, and many others.

Why don't you do more baseball and basketball stuff? Back to Top

Football is a real passion with me. However, I do love any LSU sports, men's or women's. Since football only has a few games, I have plenty of time to prepare the week's toons before game time. The other major sports have many more games spaced much closer together. That makes it more difficult to do as many game-specific cartoons. It really is a question of time. It takes time. I will try to do more TigerToons for other sports.

Do you do commission artwork? Back to Top

I sure do. TigerToons is intended to entertain the LSU Tiger Nation, but it also serves as a way to promote myself. I ain't the greatest at promotions, but TigerToons helps. It offers people examples of the type of artwork I do. People have many and different tastes in artwork. My work suits some people so much so that they want me to do something more personal for them.

What type of artwork do you do for commissions? Back to Top

Generally, I will do T shirt designs for LSU fans, watercolor or acrylic paintings, caricatures and cartoons of people, and cartoons for special events or occasions like birthdays, invitations, etc. I also do a lot of landscapes and paintings of buildings. I like Louisiana scenery and swamps and Pensacola Beach stuff. I do many paintings of camps or family homesteads.

How much do you charge for your artwork? Back to Top

Cartoons like the ones you see on TigerToons cost between $20 and $100 depending on size and complexity. Caricatures of people, which take more time and effort,; will run $75 dollar per person drawn. That means if you want a picture with caricatures of three people in it, the baseline cost to you would be $225.00. If the caricatures are in a complex setting, you may expect to add $20 to $100 to the price. Watercolor and acrylic paintings of other subjects are priced individually. The complexity of the picture, the size of the painting, and medium in which I will work contribute to the pricing for these art pieces. Just contact me and we'll talk about it.
